In preparation for a trip I backed up my Legacy 5.0 Desktop file to
floppies and then restored those files to Legacy 5.0 on my Laptop. The
file opened fine once! Now, after deleting Legacy 5.0 and installing
Legacy 6.0 on the laptop, the file still won't open. I get this message:
"Error opening database. Unrecognized database format
'C\Legacy\Data\Pallai.fdb'. Would you like to try it again?" Obviously,
when I try again, I get the same message. How can I get the Laptop
database to open? I'm not installing Version 6 on the desktop until I
resolve the laptop problem for fear of messing the desktop up. If a
solution is to delete some data files, I need to know just how to find
them and do the job.
