Hi IF ONLY!! There's no automatic way to create the updated pages only. The snag is that you do not only need the new person's page. You also need the replacement pages for the father and mother - to link to the new child. The name and surname pages are also altered.
Some people create all the pages and then use a "file compare" program to isolate the exact pages that have changed, so they only upload the altered pages to the web. I suppose if you kept a strict log of all your changes - and the RINs of the people with links to the additional people then you could use that list, but it isn't foolproof as you could easily forget to log a new entry. But you are lucky - with a few hundred pages it doesn't take that long to do. With over 10,000 it takes an age, and the chances of uploading them all without getting at least one error/failure is about zero. This has been asked for many times, but so far "the powers that be" haven't offered a solution. But, from time to time I need to update info on my pages: to add a person, delete one, change their data etc... And, I have hundreds od pages within the family tree site. Question: Is there a way to export only certain pages, referring to certain person? Example: Person within the page "123.htm" got a child recently. I want to add it to that person's "Family" section. I need to create a new page named exactly "123.htm". -- Dejan Skrebic The Skrebics, Orthodox Serbs from Republic of Srpska: www.skrebic.rs.ba Legacy User Group Etiquette guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup%40mail.millenniacorp.com/ To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/LegacyLists.asp Legacy User Group Etiquette guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup%40mail.millenniacorp.com/ To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/LegacyLists.asp
