Hi, all, I've been trying to use the Geolocation database, and find its inaccuracy really quite a problem.
Using Autoroute (which is pretty accurate) as a reference, Salisbury, my home town, is for example 15 miles west of where it is given; Tewkesbury 2.5, and Fowey, that lovely fishing port in Cornwall, is reported as 15 miles Southeast into the English Channel! Tintagel, home of King Arthur (and where I was born, though I claim no connection) doesn't get an entry. I've looked at the data tables (the database is mildly passworded, but it probably wouldn't be ethical to give out the password) and they rely on Legacy to interpret them, so altering them might be a problem. How do other people find its accuracy? Or am I doing something wrong? Warm regards :-) Alastair Lack Legacy User Group Etiquette guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup%40mail.millenniacorp.com/ To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/LegacyLists.asp
