The programmers know about the problems with W98 systems. They are working
on it, but there is no solution yet. On some W98 systems Legacy 6 works
fine, on others it do not work.
Ram memory does not help. 256 Mb is OK. Try to increase your swap memory to
min 4Mb and max 8Mb. That can help a bit, but also than the system will
stop frequently.
Cross your fingers that the programmers find a good solution.

I have W 98. I installed L6 over 5, both Deluxe. I d/l Legacy on a local
high speed connection, as it would take about 5 hours to d/l 23 mb. I am
not
sure it started right when I installed 6, but I also have some error
messages, perhaps due to sloppy housekeeping. On my old machine I have
about
a gig of space on my 2nd (small) Hard Drive, so I don't think that is a
problem. Legacy is on that drive. 64 mb RAM.
Sometimes while the window is loading the buttons show up, then disappear
just as the final inputs are made to the window.

I just ran into a problem. I installed v. 6, and now when windows come up
the decision boxes do not show. Close, yes, no, cancel, all those
necessary
buttons are just blank spots. The place where they should be is 'live',
and
when I click there the button shows up, but when I guess wrong I get the
wrong action. Any ideas?
