I have been doing some cleaning up of my database after running the Report "Potential Problems" using v6.0.0.66, 26 Sep 05 build.
After the report is generated, I then try to fix problems with dates of people that were born after a parents death date as an example. You have options to Edit: A. Individual B. Marriage C. Children D. Parents (one at a time) E. Mark as Not a Problem In my example, if a child was born after the death of a parent, I find myself getting completely out of the potential problems list and back to a family view, so I can see all the dates of the parents and children to determine what is really wrong and how to fix the errors. This leads me to the following Wish: 1. I would like to have FULL Tagging available in the Potential Problems list so I can tag some or all of the problem people and then be able to use normal editing, search, etc. capabilities in Legacy. 2. I would also like to be able to select multiple people in the "Problems List" and tag them with a specific Tag # so I can correct the tagged records in normal Legacy search & editing (This is probably a subset of 1 above). My only solution now is to create a PDF or TXT file of the Potential Problems list and then have two applications open at the same time and then worry about updating who I have fixed in BOTH Legacy and the TXT file (cannot update/change the PDF file as I edit a Legacy record, so I don't find it very useful). I have over 30,000 individuals in my DB. The potentail problems list is a few hundred pages, so it is very ackward to fix errors using the current system. -- Leon Chapman [EMAIL PROTECTED] Legacy User Group Etiquette guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup%40mail.millenniacorp.com/ To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/LegacyLists.asp
