I had some trouble with this - I couldn't seem to attach non movie/sound
files. Or at least I could attach them, but they wouldn't open/show
anything.
The thing I had to correct was in Option/Customise on the "launch" tab. And
to switch the option for Sound & Video player from "Legacy's built in" to
"Windows default media player".
Now all the different files I have tried attaching open fine.

technique of attaching PDF and other files, such as worksheets, via a
"sound" file in the picture gallery. I can no longer get that technique
to work in version 6.0.0.66 Deluxe. I have queried Legacy Support but no
reply yet. The PDF files open fine using the default system PDF viewer
outside of Legacy. Ditto with a wks file that will not open via a
"sound" file link.
