Jack,

Thanks for your reply. Guess I did not look hard enough in the right place.

Noel,

This sounds like the "show 1/2 kids" option. In family view, right click on one of the children and click "View". One option is "show 1/2 kids". That's
one of many ways. Works in both Standard and Deluxe versions

Subject: [LegacyUG] Legacy V4 versus V6

Have been a regular user of Legacy Deluxe Ver. 4 for quite a while and have recently started using Legacy Standard Ver. 6, but have struck a problem for
which I cannot find a cause.

In Ver. 4, when a married couple have a family, then divorce, naturally any
children show up in the Family View.

If one parent re-marries, and the new spouse is selected 'Set to Preferred',
the children from the previous marriage are still recorded, but have the
maiden name of the birth mother recorded against their name.

However in Ver.6, this is not occurring and one cannot find any setting
under Options>Customise to set this function ON.

Has anyone any suggestions on how one can get children to show up with the
names of the birth mother recorded against their name in the Standard
Version ??.

Or is this function only available in Legacy Deluxe ??
