Matthew: I too had this problem with the Name list freezing. I could not get into the name list to do a search no matter what angle I tried the icon, the scroll down from view, or ctl+I.
If I remember right I may also have had problems with Search - view search list and options customize. I had tried customize to see if I inadvertently click on something and that is when I discovered it was out of commission. I was about to write it up for submission here but tried a reboot first and that has taken care of it for the time being. How frustrating it was though to be unable to use the Name List. My system is XP Pro on a new Del 9100, with the latest version of Legacy. The first time it happened I clicked on another Icon or person, (frankly I don't remember) then tried the name list again and it worked. But a couple days ago I had to shut down and reboot which I guess is better than reinstalling. Karen V.
