I also use Turbonote but it isn't free any longer. You can try it for a
month and then they remind you to pay for it. But it is fantastic for just
exactly what Cathy is doing with the copy & paste.  I thought it was well
worth it!

I use a note program called Turbonote when I'm transcribing from 
images. The note can be set to stay on top of all other windows. I 
then cut and paste to Legacy.
There are a variety of such sticky note type programs I believe. I 
use an old free version of Turbonote. I also use it for alarmed 
reminders for anything from Have a stretch to Electricity bill due today.

Re Exif data. I add IPTC captions to photos. Picasa from Google 
stores captions as IPTC captions. Various other programs from the 
free Irfanview to other image viewers handle this convention. It 
would be good if Legacy could read it as well.
