Hi Robin,
As someone else has already posted, this is the place to be! I have found
reading this list, and asking my own questions, to be very informative. I have
learned about things I didn't know I needed to know, until someone else asked
about it and others replied. I also like that the people who make Legacy are on
the list, too, and contribute assistance to queries and take on board
suggestions for improving their product.
Sometimes the volume of mail is too much for me to keep up with, like when
version 6 was released a little while ago, but that's okay - because I use a
filter to direct the mail from this list into its own folder, the posts were not
in the way of other mail, and I had the freedom to choose whether I attempted to
wade through all the mail, select a few posts to read based on the subject line,
or just delete all the unread mail and start from fresh with the next mail that
arrived. The reality tends to be a combination of all of these. :-) IMV,
filters are very important for managing your mail when you belong to lists, even
if you only subscribe to one.
FFR, Robin, please remember to turn off the Read Receipt option on your mail
when you post to the list. :-)
Regards,
Wendy

Subject: [LegacyUG] Supplemental online user groups
I am relatively new to Legacy Family Tree software and am overall satisfied
with the program.
Is there an online user forum for this program supplementing this mail list?
Please include link if you know of one.
I noticed Genealogy.com has a few "other" programs in its forums, but they
don't have Legacy. I believe Genealogy.com is affiliated with Family Tree
Maker and Legacy is to much of a solid competition for them, anyway.
