If they ever do this I hope that it is an option in Customizationand not something permanently turned on. I for one don't need it or want it. My location list is long enough with over 5000 locations without multiplying one town into a thousand Local Field possibilities. The address list is sufficient for me. What the location list needs is better manageability - the ability to filter the list to show only tagged, or verified entries, or locations with a certain word (state, county, city) or beginning, end, or partial syllable.
