Oh, I never noticed the place holder commas before. That's probably because
my typical charts just have Names, Birth Dates and Death Dates. No places.
Also, I don't keep pictures in Legacy. I got most of my lines back before
pictures became available a long time ago. I have an FTM file laying around
called "Bayles_with_pix" or some such that I have pictures in. I can make
charts from that just fine. And the other research charts, don't really
need
pictures. They are to help me find relationships and holes in my research,
as well as to print out big/long wall chart type displays.

So I don't run into the problems you describe. But if I did want to do
those
things, I'd be more of a pest about Legacy offereing native charting
capabilities.

I very much agree Elizabeth, that Family Tree MAKER produces better tree
charts than Legacy by itself, and even with the add-ons, some aspects of
FTM's
charting capabilites are better than Legacy and it support products, though
I
do prefer the look of what Tree Draw can produce.
