Kenneth
I think your event problem is caused by one of the things I have enjoyed most when using Legacy. I havn't used it for Two paragraph events. If I Have more than one sentence for an event it goes in the Event notes area, The original Notes (every line of the event) can be duplicated for each family member. It works well for my Census information which I enter as:
 Event = Residence
Description= farm home in Precint 4 with wife or parents, so & so when census data was recorded
 Date= (census Date)
 Place = (location when census was done)
 This is all sourced to actual census data for household.

The repeat occurs when entry key is depressed on each Event entry description name. Not the Carriage return.
