I read the help files about making a CD to share with my grown children. I don't understand the directions. Could someone help me please, with step by step instructions? I would like to have a CD with the Legacy program on it. We all have slow dial-up internet connections, so I would like to copy the program that is on my computer instead of having to download it again. I have Version 6 Deluxe. Then I would like to have all my data on the CD so they can install the program and open the family file. Something missing that I found extremely helpful which I can't see on the Legacy Tips site is what photos go with the people you selected? Now let's assume you've done all the work, tagged the people you want, and created that other Legacy file in another location on your computer. When you open the new file with Legacy, all the photos will appear to be ok, but they're only being read from their original location. What you need to do is know which photos go with which person, so you can copy them to the correct subdirectory on the CD. There's an easy solution, just choose to backup all your multi-media files, and put the zip file some where you'll remember. Now all you need do is extract all the files within the compressed zip file to the subdirectory on your CD. Worked fine for me, but such a simple answer had me stumped for a while.
