I've been having probelms with recent Legacy Gedcoms too..I'm using
v6 at the moment but the problem first appeared in the last version of
v5.

I've tried all the Gedcom formats offered but the major website in
the UK (www.genesreunited.com with 48,000,000 records) won't
accept standard Legacy produced gedcoms. Fortunately they identify
what the problems are by line so I open up the gedcom in a text
editor and delete the offending lines.

These Gedcoms also affect imports into other software in that I get broken
family links in Family Tree Legends and KSTableau
(www.home.versatel.nl/KStableau) which reports loads of:

QUOTE
Wife link in FAM record is not matched with corresponding FAMS link
in the INDI record (the family claims to have an existing wife but that wife
does not list the family as a FAMS)
END QUOTE

I have reported this to Legacy Tech Support.

Good Hunting...
