Hi Gail,

To solve your problem in Legacy with Legacy reports, instead of putting in the blank line, add a [CR] to your sentence definition. eg: [FirstHeShe] was recorded on the British census of [Date] [atPlace] in the household of [Desc].[Sources][CR][Notes]

Sorry I don't know of a quick way to remove the blank line you've added.

For those of you who are good at editing Legacy-produced GEDCOMS, I have a question. Many of my events, such as census events, start with a blank first line in the notes section. I did this so the sentences would read better. For example, a census event would read:

In the census taken 15 Jun 1900, John Doe was enumerated in Anytown, USA.
1) John Doe
2) Jane Doe
3) Baby Doe

If not for leaving the first line blank, the program would try to cram the note detail "1) John Doe, etc." on the same line with the census sentence. This trick works fine in Legacy, but does not look so good on my new web site using TNG (The Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding), which pulls from my GEDCOM, blank lines included.
