I think I have got a good grip on Publishing Center for a narrative book
report, but I would appreciate confirmation of image posssibilties with Pdf
versions.
One, it appears that for printing purposes the screen/printer version is the
only one that faithfully reproduces Book files.
Two, the Rtf editable file; here's what Help says: "Rich Text File sends the
report to a disk file containing all the formatting options such as bolding,
indents, fonts and font sizes. It also contains all the index and table of
contents marks. This file can then be loaded into your favorite word
processor for further editing and formatting."
That seems clear enough: it's a basic file that you can personalize to your
heart's content. But what confuses me is the available option to include
pictures, which come out enormous, some a full page, even though report
settings are all for minimum image sizes. Am I corrrect in assuming that I
should forget about this option; that all images must be uploaded manually
to an Rtf file; that there's no workaround?
If that's definitely the case, I'd bettter concentrate on the Pdf version.
I have Legacy 6 Deluxe, latest build; XP-SP2, Word 2000.
