Ron,

This has been reported before by a couple of users and we can't duplicate
the problem. It has been passed on to Ken to look into.

The best suggestion I can make at this time is to not use the Exit icon but
to use the red "X" in the upper right corner or File > Exit to close Legacy.

Thanks for using Legacy.

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Exit Sign

I also have the same scenario after exiting Legacy. My computer is a laptop
running XP Pro SP2 with all other updates. Resolution is 1400 x 1050 and 32
bit color. The unusual thing about the "Exit" icon remaining on screen is
that it only seems to do that if you click that button to exit the program.
It does it regardless of whether you chose to backup or skip the backup. If
you click the red "X" in the top right corner to exit then the "Exit" icon
does not get left on the desktop. The same is true if you use the "File"
command and then "Exit". Also, a "refresh" of the desktop does erase the
icon...so the computer thinks that it should be gone. There are no ill
effects because of it and it is probably a very low priority to be fixed.
Anyway...I can verify that it is happening when you use the "Exit" button to
close the program.
