Thanks for the additional info!
I knew all that actually but I think what through me off was the eight years between this baptism (_*with*_ a record of the father) and their marriage and this in the 1780's ! What I did for documentation: I added a picture of the original record to the child's data, so that it is clear I did not make any mistakes. I tend to forget what I did, so even for me it is good to be able to check it out! :-))
