I suspected that might be the case with this old version of Access. Drat! My husband might be getting an updated version soon, so maybe I'll wait and see if he does. Otherwise, if anyone is interested in tinkering with a back-up of my file to zap these lines, I would be most appreciative.

Jennifer, I'll be glad to forward you any tips people might send offline. Of course, I won't be able to try them out until I get a newer version of Access.

I think you need a newer version of Access. As I recall, Access 2000 is
required.

When you get it, just File>Open, then type *.fdb in File name and hit
Enter. Then select your Legacy data file and select Open.
