I am using the most current build of Legacy 6. I found a birth date for an ancestor on his WW I draft registration card that is better than what I've had for him, which was just the year.
I entered the draft card birth date as an Alt. Birth event, entering the source of the information in the Description field. (I've also linked to the Master Source, but want to note this in a report so the reader doesn't have to flip back to the footnotes.) When I used the Swap Birth Information option, only the date swapped, not the Description or Place information. I don't recall this being a problem in early versions of Legacy. I fixed the entries manually (putting the Description data into the Notes area of the Birth), but am wondering if there is something I'm overlooking -- a box ticked or option switched on/off -- that is causing this. Or, instead of trying to make one smooth sentence, should I be entering such information in the Entry Notes box so it can print as a separate sentence with the basic information? Has anyone else run into this? And how did you handle it?
