Hi Elsie,

from the Family View screen one can enter birth (death etc) notes by clicking on the "+" sign at the end of the date/address line for the event. However, as far as I know, to view this one has to repeat the process ( I may be missing something myself here).

Below the details panel in Family View are a series of icons which include a notepad (next to the picture) in which one can put notes. I use this for the UK GRO reference numbers for bmd's so that when I wish to order a certificate I can access them by just clicking the notepad.

Because I need access to the index references for bmd's these I put in General Research Notes as they are more accessible.

I'm still new so please explain what this is. Thanks.
