Never again will I complain about my phone lines. We are in
the country here in Mexico (Old not New) and have only had phone
lines about 4 years and I usually get about 50kbps on my dialup
connection. If I find I need to do a large download then I try to
schedule it for late in the evening. While it is downloading I
will play games or write letters or something on the computer to
ensure my ISP does not disconnect me. If the line is dropped for
some other reason then my Firefox browser will resume where it
left off. Almost all of this knowledge was acquired from hints on
this list or Dick Eastman's newsletter over the last 3 years.
Now, all of that said, I would agree it would be nice for
Legacy to only download what is needed for an update. But, even
if they don't I will continue to do my upgrades to a great
program no matter how long they are.
