I fully concur. Research Guidance is a component of Legacy that is of very little value to, in my opinion, more than 50% of the Legacy userbase.

Kindly make this an optional item.

I think it would help alot if things like research guidance were made
optional. Maybe even make minor changes to the help files optional.

Gary,

Lately, updates have been slow in coming. Sometimes we get two or three in
a month. We could barely get new CDs made at that rate and then what would
we do with all the ones we just had made if a new update came out right
away??? <g> A suggestion - maybe you could find a computer on broadband
with a CD burner and download the Legacy file to that computer and burn it
to the CD? Or if you have a thumb drive, burn it to that drive?

I talked with Ken about doing smaller patches. The way it is now, an update is cumulative. If a person skips an update or two, it's no problem when the
new build comes out - all the previous updates are included. With smaller
patches, you'd have to make sure that you had all previous patches installed
in sequence before you downloaded and installed the most recent one. That
could get too confusing!

Thanks for using Legacy.

<snip>

Isn't there a better delivery method for updates for those in my situation?
Can't we receive updates via a CD or download just what's changed. Given
this experience I really don't have any plans on upgrading to any new builds
anytime soon.........
