But the previous wording on the individual's screen was "this individual never married". There was no mention of children.
I guess that it was probably implicit in that by adding a child, then a marriage is generated in Legacy. Without going back and reloading an older version it isn't possible to check the effect of adding a child to a person who is stated as never married. Now, if you add a child the check box is unticked. I do have people in my database where the "never married" box is checked, but who did have children. So I presume that there has been a change in the logic as well as the wording on the screen. It looks pretty silly to see a box that is checked to say "never married and had no children" at the same time as seeing the list of children on the screen. Do you mean the two options on the marriage information screen? The option on the individuals screen is for individuals who never had any partner or children (if you check this option you know you have proof this person never married (or had a partner) and never had any children so you don't have to look for them in the archives etc.) Evert Legacy User Group guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup%40mail.millenniacorp.com/ To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/LegacyLists.asp
