Doesn't your Legacy program just open to the same file you were
working on last? I never have to "load" a file - I just keep working
on the same file, and then back it up at night to a zip file, which I
only need to access if something catastrophic happens.

You may want to do a Windows Search for all files modified in the last
1-2 days with the partial file name January." Maybe you saved it as
something else, or moved it somewhere else by accident.
