order
Just found an easier way. Use search > find and on the Detailed
Search Tab Look for Whom = individual, what to look for =
Event-Name, How to Look = Not Equal To, What To Look For =leave this
blank
Make sure the clear list before search option is selected then click
search. You can do the same event sorting from the search list but
now only people who have events are included. Saves going through
all the people with no events.
Also noticed that beside the sort button are the order buttons with
up and down arrows. After sorting by date you can select one that
doesn't look right and use the up or down arrow to move it in the
events list to where is=t makes sense. eg. I had a person with alt.
birth with a date but an employment event after graduation without.
After sorting all the events I used the down arrow to put this in
the right place in the list even though I did not have a date on
that event.

Events can be sorted by date if you wish. When you have a person's
events on screen click the options button, there are two choices
for sorting, by name or by date.
The easiest way I found to do the sorting is from the name list.
Click on the events tab and as you move through the list you will
see who has events entered. There is a sort button there that
brings up the by date, or by name options for the sort. Hope this
helps you get your events in the order you prefer. As always though
if you sort by date, events with no date will go to the start of
the list.

Also the events. People live in chronological order. I wish the
events could be automatically sorted that way.

Subject: [LegacyUG] V6 - Potential Problems - Children sorted
order
Is there a reason why Legacy could not automatically correct this
potential problem? I have 39 pages of children that are not
sorted
correctly - I can not think of a reason why I would not want them
sorted in order.
Any reason why to let them remain in an unsorted order? If not,
can this be added to Legacy to automatically do?
