It is reporting each of the husband and wife as a separate person. Since
each person has an entry in the Index and it is possible they could be
on separate pages the duplication makes certain that when a person looks
up either in the index they also see the fact the couple married when
reading the paragraph they find in the Index.
This is a standard genealogical report layout and there is no way to
eliminate it within Legacy. You can generate the report to an rtf file
and use a word processor to edit the report.
