And don't forget to *test* the backup. If you're new at backing up, please
go to our website at http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Tips.asp, where you'll
find an article under "Backing Up and Restoring Family Files" which explains
how to do a backup and how to test it.

Believe me, it's a pretty sad thing when I have to tell users to restore
from their backup only to hear back from them that their backup was bad too!

Thanks for using Legacy.

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Why save copies of census records?

As long as you back up, back up, back up! And have at least one back up
stored offsite. And when the media changes, you back up to the new type of
media! (like a cd to replace a diskette, and before that a diskette to
replace a floppy disk).
