Filing SSNs and more importantly the records provided by the SSDI is
only part of this filing system. I provided information about filing
birth, death, marriage, census and other records. I then followed up
with more information about filing/organizing obituaries, memorial cards
and photos.

This system DOES NOT rely on the uniqueness of the Social Security
Number. There is no connection between the filing system and SSNs.
SSNs are merely a part of this system, not the basis of the system.

If there are further questions about my system, please let me know.

Mary Brenzel

La Nell gave him a nice explanation of the SSN system,
but I think she missed the point. I think the point of the
question was that SSNs can only be used on Americans
who lived after 1930. Most of my ancestry is before
1930 and much of that is in Québec. How does this
filing system, which relies on the uniqueness of the SSN,
work for those without SSNs?
