FTM does not recognize those style dates.
Legacy itself only added them recently at the request of those users who
use the British BMD indexes where entries are listed by Calendar Quarter
of registration.

I occasionally export some of my Legacy records to a Gedcom so I can
open them in Family Tree Maker and print what I think of as a "standard"
family tree.
I recently discovered, via this excellent group, that Legacy will accept
dates in the format September Q 1837, so I have been going through my
file changing my year-only entries to that format wherever possible.
When I opened my latest Gedcom in FTM, FTM didn't like that date format
and dropped all dates in that style from the file. As it happened, it
didn't really matter in this instance as I was just "playing around" but
there might occasions when I want to retain the dates.
Is this impossible because FTM doesn't recognise this format at all, or
did I do something wrong in setting up the Gedcom export?
