This drive is a pull from a 4th Gen ipod that I just converted to use CF-based storage. I've been using the drive in the ipod for the past year and a half, and it generally works just fine. Occasionally it'll have a hiccup, and I'll either need to reformat/restore or just do a reset on the ipod. I tried to zero the drive, and I kept getting an "input/output error" near the end of the process and it wouldn't finish. But I did get it to restore in itunes, and copied some songs onto it. So it seems as though there may be an issue with it, but it's intermittent and may or may not affect your usage of it. I just want to make sure you're aware of potential issues before buying.
