I have a nice Kensington MasterPiece Plus remote power center for sale. The central power center (can be mounted anywhere) with 6 1/2 foot cable has 4 switched outlets and 1 continuous power outlet. The switched outlets are operated by a compact remote controller, with a low voltage 6 foot small-diameter cable, that can be mounted to your monitor or located on your desktop. The Masterpiece Plus has surge suppression for the outlets as well as a telephone/modem line. A static grounding strip is located on the front of the controller. These aren't made anymore and are hard to find. They are great if you have several peripherals to control or want to switch all your components on at one time from a central location. I used it to power- up a Power Mac with a 350 watt power supply, 4 internal drives, an external CRT and tape drive without a hitch so it will handle a pretty heavy load.
