Greetings, Swappers! I have an iBook G4 1.0 GHz for parts or fix. This was purchased for a client from BetaMacs or LA Computer (can't recall now) about a year ago, and the hard drive has since died. As far as I know, the computer is in complete, working order except for the hard drive. If you're handy with taking these 'Books apart, you'll have a nice machine for a minimal investment.
As far as I know, these are the specs: 1.0 GHz G4, 256 MB RAM, 30 GB HDD (dead dead dead), APX, CD-ROM (this may be a Combo Drive, but I can't recall now), third-party A/C adapter. The battery shows four lights, but I cannot guarantee any charge on it as I don't have another iBook to test it in. Cosmetically, the word "scuffed" comes to mind. There is a tiny chip off the top-right corner of the plastic surrounding the LCD, and the keyboard needs a good cleaning. The hinges are in excellent shape, the case latch is still perfect, and there are no other cracks or dents. If you can get past the "well-loved" look, this is actually very solid little computer. I'm willing to part it out if there are no takers, but I'm not very handy with disassembly, so I'd much rather it go as a complete unit.
