I have an external CD drive and an Apple 40SC external hard drive up
for sale. These external units are both cases that fit directly under
any of the classic Compact Macs. They raise the compact Mac for a
better viewing angle and take up no additional space on the desk. Both
of these units are heavy solid built cases, with internal power
supplies and fans.
The Apple 40SC is an external hard drive. It still has the original
40MB drive which is in fine working condition. The get info box says
it was created in 1993, which I am guess is the last time it was
formatted. It has the switch on the back to change the SCSI id. It is
beige in color.
The other external drive is an "Ocean" SCSI case with an open front
for the install of an optical drive. It currently has either and Apple
300 or 600 drive mechanism installed. The CD Drive is functional as
well. I used it to install A/UX on my old SE/30. This external case is
the platinum color.
These drives are both nice additions for an old compact Mac setup.
They provide nice expansion without requiring any additional desk space.
Because of the weight and size of these cases, I am asking $35 each,
(figuring $20 for the unit and $15 shipping). If you are interested in
both figure $60.00. Payment via PayPal is preferred although other
arrangements gladly made. I ship USPS Priority Mail with tracking.
William Ove will be shipping these items from Saint Peter, MN 56082.
Thank you for looking and have a nice evening.
