I have a PowerMac G4 ( "QuickSilver" ) that has been upgraded to a 1GHz
3rd party G4. MacOS X only sees the CPU as 600MHz, as there is no software
extension for the CPU for OS X. Mac OS 9 sees the 1GHz CPU with the correct
extension loaded.
The G4 has 1.25 GB of RAM, a 120GB hard drive, a Pioneer DVR-103 DVD-RW
("SuperDrive") and an Iomega 250MB Zip drive.
