Hi All,
I'm going to part with a beautiful machine and give you all a crack at it
before tossing it to the ebay wolves.
It's my trusty PowerBook G3 Firewire, this one with a 500 mhz processor (I swapped the old 400 mhz out) and 1 gig of RAM. The access door cover is present as are the rubber feet. Cosmetically, the case is in excellent condition with minor scratches. The screen is great as well...no dead pixels that I can see, no funny lines, keyboard marks, or pinkness anywhere. The lid hinges have a little play but nothing that affects positioning.
You'll get two Apple batteries, one that will give you about two hours of power and the other
with at least an hour or so. It has a 40gb hard drive, AirPort card, DVD/CD ROM, Zip Drive
module, SuperDisk (also reads the old floppies) module, weight-saving device module, Apple
"yo-yo" power adapter and cord, original OS9 & restore CDs that came with the
machine, original os9.2.1 CD, and original OS Jaguar 10.2 CD. I changed the PRAM battery a
couple of years ago and it seems to be fine. The manual is included in pdf format. It has
original PowerBook G3 outer and inner boxes with the shipping styrofoam. I'll also include a
black Targus case that fits the Pismo perfectly.
I took it out for a drive the other day, sitting at Borders working in Word and accessing the Internet. Even at about ten years old, this is still a perfectly usable machine. Also gave it a spin watching a couple of "24" episodes on DVD...again, it worked beautifully.
I'm asking $250 and I'll pay for shipping in the U.S.
Regards,
Bill
