I have for sale a used dual (two-drive) external Firewire 800
enclosure with two 300 GB ATA/IDE drives installed. The enclosure is
aluminum with a very small form factor (for a dual drive enclosure)
and an internal fan. It has an Oxford 912 chipset, preset by firmware
in a RAID 0 configuration (combines the two hard drives into one
larger drive). I'm not sure if it's striped or spanned. There may be a
way to change the firmware to make this a dual enclosure with two
independent drives, but I don't know how to do it. It only has
Firewire 800 ports (two), but can be used on a computer with Firewire
400 ports using a cable with Firewire 800 on one end and Firewire 400
on the other. The installed drives are identical Seagate 7200.8
drives.

In appearance of the case only, the enclosure looks like the one on
this web page (without the Coolgear logo - there are no markings on
the case):

Please note again that this enclosure takes ATA/IDE drives (NOT SATA),
and that it is preset in a RAID 0 configuration so it will always
combine the capacities of the two hard drives.

Includes enclosure with preinstalled hard drives, power supply, and
stand. The enclosure has a couple of small scratches on the bottom,
but is otherwise in excellent physical and working condition.

Asking $70 shipped by USPS Priority Mail within the continental U.S.
PayPal highly preferred.

Please email me off-list if interested or if you have any questions.
