Hi all I posted a G5 for trade and it looks like I forgot a few
critical things. And have got several people asking questions, so
thought I would post it back to the list rather than to everyone
individually.
First it is a 20" screen, I believe the speed to be 2.1 Ghz and it
only has the standard builtin ram of 512mb. Here is the actual serial
number : W855054VTAR
The original symptoms were that it had no video and would not start.
I took it apart to recover the hard drive data. I checked it out when
I had it apart and two of the three leds light, but the third one
only flashed. It will power up, sometimes give a chime and the fans
will come on but that is as far as it goes.
Hope this helps answer some questions.
I will also consider offers, and or offers for parts.
I have an non working last generation iMac G5 with isight camera.
It is in good cosmetic condition. It will not come with a hard
drive, keyboard or mouse. Does anyone have anything they would like
to trade for it? One thing I am looking for is a better video card
for my G4 Quicksilver. Send me your offers and we can see what kind
of deal we can make.
