Hi swappers,

After several overheating episodes, my beloved 17" PowerBook seems to
have given up the ghost, so it's up for sale as a parts machine.

It is a 1.67Ghz 17" G4 PowerBook, next-to-last model, with 2 gigs of
RAM, a 250GB Western Digital HDD, and a DUAL layer Panasonic (UJ-846)
SuperDrive. It comes with the original power supply, one good battery,
and one half-hour battery. A couple of scratches, no gouges or dents.
The screen is perfect. Cosmetically, I would say 8.5 out of 10 --and
I'm being conservative. Everything was 100% functional until today,
with occasional overheating episodes that I fended off with the help
of a utility called G4FanControl. A new Leopard install did it in.

Bonus: a beautiful OWC leather screen protector (real black leather),
for use with a 17" PowerBook or MacBook Pro.

I also have an aluminum 17" iLap laptop stand that I used with it.
It's a piece of art, and very, very comfortable. For more information,
this is their website: http://www.raindesigninc.com/ilap.html

You can have the whole kit and caboodle for $280, or you can buy
separately the PB for $250 or the stand for $40. Prices include
shipping (with insurance and delivery confirmation) in CONUS. Gift
PayPal strongly preferred, other payment methods considered. If you
feel that I'm asking too much for a basically dead PB, make me an
offer. I will respond all emails.

TIA,
