I am looking for a 12 gig or larger hard drive compatible with my old trusty Lombard. Around 20 gig would be great.
The LEM profile page on the Lombard says, "According to the Road Warrior, the drive controller in G3 PowerBooks is incompatible with some ATA-6/Ultra ATA-100 hard drives. When replacing the internal hard drive, you should be sure to obtain an ATA-5/Ultra ATA-66 compliant drive or an ATA-6 or ATA-7/Ultra ATA-133 drive known to work with Lombard." So if it isn't ATA-5/Ultra ATA-66 compliant I'll only consider it if you KNOW it works in a Lombard. I'd like to stay under $40, if possible, since I also need to get a battery for it. While I really like this old machine, it just isn't worth putting that much money into it.
