Drive is formatted for Apple use, no operating system installed. Comes with just the SSD drive, nothing else is included. This Samsung SSD is MUCH faster than the Toshiba SSD that Apple shipped with many of these computers I purchased the MacBook Air last month, then upgraded to an OWC Mercury Aura Pro, so this drive has seen very minimal use.
