Pretty nice machine, if I do say so myself. It's got a 320GB drive in it, which
I've found to be plenty of space. The outside of the machine is in *very* nice
shape- I've done my best to take care of it as well as I can. The 20" screen is
awesome.
This thing will take 10.8, but sometimes it will overheat the GPU, which kills
it dead without notice. I've done some research, and it seems as though this is
a common occurrence on this model. I didn't notice it ever happening in 10.7,
but it's still possible even then. I have found if I ramp the fans up
(smcFanControl), it doesn't shut down. And when it's booted into Windows XP, it
never shuts off randomly, as XP's graphics are so old.
Here's the only catch: the screen is dim at the very top by a little bit. It's
still plenty useable, just a bit annoying. I'd be happy to send pics, but it's
still hard to tell in those.
I don't have the original disks, so this thing will be shipped with the drive
blank. White ice cube tray keyboard included, and a Mighty Mouse with the goofy
scroll ball that's long deteriorated. I'd recommend a different mouse.
I'd like to get $500 for the thing (plus shipping, this thing weighs 20
pounds), but I'm open to other offers.
