Time to move on. This puppy will run 10.6 just fine- I've got it upgraded with 2GB of RAM and a 160GB drive. It's a 2.0GHz machine. Additionally, it will run Windows XP like a champ- I used it last semester for a C++ programming course- you should have seen the looks on people's faces when I brought my Mac in.
Currently, I have an optibay in place- I never use DVDs or CDs myself, so it seemed like a nice upgrade. If you're unfamiliar with the concept, it allows you to take out the optical drive and replace it with another harddrive. Very nice if you have a small SSD as your boot drive, then you can throw a larger drive in the bay for your storage needs. If you want the optical drive as well, I'll be happy to mail that as soon as I get back to school, as I left it there for Christmas break. Of course, I'd send it free of charge. This MacBook is in very nice condition- no chipped edges or anything like that. Battery holds about 2-3 hours, depending on usage. iStat tells me it's at 93% health, so that's good. You'll also get the power supply of course. I've taken good care of it, and it's served me well. Nice and clean. I have a decal on the lid from the series "Simon's Cat", which I'm happy to either leave on or take off. Your call. With the new semester coming up, I'm looking to make some money for my books. Seeing as I really don't use this that much anymore, it seems like a good time to pass it on. Alas, I have no idea where the original discs are, so Kaylee (as I called her) will be shipping with a blank drive. I've also got the mini-DVI to VGA adapter that I'll throw in for free. I'd like to get $320 for it. But I'm open to reasonable offers. Josh Calvetti Pittsburgh, PA 15228 -- You received this message because you are a member of the LEM Swap group.
