For Sale:
Huge Systems MediaVault U320-R 800GB raid array

Was used with a Power Mac G5 for a few years on and off ( I still have
the PCI card), then I upgraded to a highend iMac. My Current set up
uses FireWire and eSata. Unfortunately I have yet to find an eSata to
SCSI bridge / connector of some sort so I can put this guy to use (if
you know of one please let me know). This Unit was purchased at the
end of 2005

Manufacturer description:

The next-generation MediaVault U320-R features an Ultra 320 interface
capable of sustaining over 200 Megabytes a second in HDT mode. That's
enough to support 10-bit HD capture and playback - from a single 5-
drive unit! The redesigned, industrial looking chassis supports 5
removable drives. The MediaVault U320-R has 5 removable disk drives
and can be configured for RAID 0 (performance) or RAID 3 (protected)
operation. In RAID 0 mode all 5 drives are used for storage and
maximum performance. When in RAID 3 mode, one drive is used for
"parity" information, so performance and capacities are diminished
about 20%.

This is no longer top-of-the-line and the capacity is obviously
surpassed by newer systems. However, this is an extremely safe and
reliable system that runs true raid.

Note: This unit has been used (for a series of short projects and it
performed perfectly), but it has remained in a single, climate-
controlled, location while in use (for approximately 3 years) and then
stored in the box when no longer used. In the no box with SCSI and
power cables.

Asking $350 OBO , trades are welcome as well
