I picked up a lot of 15 PCI Radeon 7000 64MB cards off of eBay (PC versions). I
clipped the x86 PCI flash ROM, soldered in a new larger flash chip, and
re-flashed them all with the full Mac driver, as described here:
http://www.synack.net/~bbraun/ati7k.html
The cards support DVI, VGA, and (I believe, but this one I didn't test)
S-Video. Since these are re-flashed 64MB cards, they support up to 1900x1200,
and the cards are compatible with Mac OS 9.x and 7.6. There is one
compatibility caveat for Mac OS 7.6: the cards show an extra 1x2 pixel
"monitor" (in the Monitors control panel), in addition to the main display.
I installed four of them in my two PowerMac 9600s, sent two to a friend, and
now I have 9 PCI cards left over. Given that I don't need that many Radeon 7000
cards, I figured I'd offer them for sale in case anyone else wants to upgrade
their PCI PowerMac without going through SMT soldering. I reflashed all the
cards, and tested VGA+DVI output for each one on my 9600 running Mac OS 9.2.
Some photos of the process are included at:

I'm selling them for $30/ea, including shipping in the continental US. This is
just fun for me, so rather than cash, I'd much prefer to trade (or in the case
of larger items, trade+buy) for any of:
- High-end Nubus video card(s)
- Quadra 840AV video RAM (256k VRAM SIMMs)
- High-capacity (32MB/64MB) 72-pin 60 ns SIMMs
- Daystar 040 accelerator
- Original software media (+manuals are a bonus)
- Metrowerks CW Gold 10/11
- A/UX 3.0.x + 3.1
- PlanetX from InterCon, Inc. [
http://cseweb.ucsd.edu/users/little/OldSites/CSE_Uptime/v2.11/planetx.html ]
- Uthernet IIgs ethernet card
Standard disclaimer; I flashed+tested the modified cards in my 9600, they were
factory-sealed from the eBay seller, but while it's a simple modification, this
sort of thing is *completely* warranty-voiding.
