I have a unique 5th Generation iPod for sale. It was modded to use an 8 GB Compact Flash card instead of the original hard drive. The hard drive died on this model, so I got the CF adapter and installed a SanDisk (if I remember correctly) Compact Flash card. Disk-based operations happen very quickly--there's no lag waiting for a hard drive to spin up. It is ever so slightly lighter than the original disk based version (4.3 oz vs the 4.8 oz of the original), perhaps slightly better battery life, and none of the clicking sounds you might experience with a spinning platter based drive. I have restored it in iTunes, and it's ready to go.
This model has a color screen, and can handle video playback as well as photos. Specs here: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/ipod/specs/ipod_5thgen.html I'll also include a black flexible silicone case that comes with a strap for wrapping around your arm (for jogging or other activity). No cables, chargers or other accessories are available at this time. It's a little difficult to price this model because of the CF upgrade, but I'm seeing at least one completed ebay sale for a 16gb CF iPod 5th Gen for $90, so how about $60 shipped for this one? If that price doesn't work for you, make me an offer. I accept Paypal, Google Checkout, Amazon payments, check/M.O. Your item will ship from zip 22802 upon receipt of cleared payment.
