Greetings all, I was recently given a Powerbook G3/500MHz Pismo for parts.I was actually only after the processor card (500MHz) which I successfully harvested. In the process i broke down the unit for harvesting purposes. Pretty much everything else (with the below-listed exceptions) appears to be in working order, but will be sent untested.
For that reason, I will be happy to send free (just cost of shipping) the remaining parts upon request. Logic board, input board, power/audi board, monitor, modem, ethernet connector, HD, inverter board, keyboard, all frames and brackets, hardware, etc. are fine in appearance. The only items squirrelly is the bottom case, which has a burned hole in it (like somebody accidentally touched it with a soldering iron), and the hard drive data cable, which may work but has a burn mark from the same incident. Missing from the above list is of course the processor board. I also have another G3 400 MHz Pismo which is available for parts as well - this one does have the processor board (and everything else) on it - also free for cost of shipping. Let me know if your Pismo could use some replacement items-happy to provide, otherwise to the recycler it goes. Best regards, Dana Collins (Ft.
