Greetings all, I find myself in need of resuscitating a Powerbook 540C (only because it is such exquisite condition, operating fine, except for a corrupted OS system folder). I would like to install OS 8.1 on it (being the latest System it honors), and will need to do it via CD. I have an Apple CD-ROM and a terminated external box for the project, but especially need the special adapter that brings the (male) 50-pin centronic down to that special 40-pin square interface that those powerbooks had.
Would anybody have such a unit still in their possession? If so, give me a holler with a note of what you need to get it to me). Many thanks for the consideration. Regards, Dana (Collins - Ft.
