Greetings, colleagues. I have a couple of items for free (cost of shipping from Ft. Wayne, IN 46807)
1) A near-complete set of an iSight camera - I say "near-complete' because the desktop surface mount is missing - the other two mounts (wall and monitor-mount) are present and unused, so the sticky backings are untouched and still covered. Also included are the cable (FW), cable adapters for the mounts, the lucite case, the camera itself, and the OEM retail box. I am not sure of rev. nos. on the iSights, but this appears to be the model that was issued "pre-magnetic mount" - there is no magnetic mount, nor does there appear to be a place for it in this box. Last used, the camera worked splendidly with my G5 tower. Free for cost of shipping! 2) Our building manager rescued this from the recycle heap, thinking I might be able to salvage it, but I was not able to get it to boot up: This is a 15" MacBook Pro, circa 2010 model (A1286). I suspect that it suffered from the common graphics chip failure that plagued this model and hence was tossed. Also possible may be the power board This would be for parts, of course. Missing are the following: RAM, HD, Optical drive, battery (of course!) and 9 out of 10 external screws to the body. What appears to be in good shape is the top case, keyboard, display, and the body (no dents, a few scuffs) - all foot pads are present, as are all internal cables (HD and optical to be sure are there) - if the wireless and Bluetooth are separate cards, then they may also be in good shape. Again, free for cost of shipping, which just may not be very much at all - will slip this into a couple of bubble wrap envelopes and off it goes! Thanks for reading.
